      Top notch place to work

      Pros

      Management sets a great tone at the top: encouragement, tolerance, hard work, learning, improvement, etc. The place is just the right size (80 employees) to be on a first name basis with pretty much everyone there.

      Cons

      Not much group interaction, but that's kind of the nature of accounting.

      Pros

      Management willing to listen to everyone's opinions and considerations. Generous with time off in the face of an emergency. Great place to learn.

      Cons

      No job growth or promotion opportunities. There are many "career senior auditors" in the same position for 10+ years. Some of them are very smart and can easily be managers or CFOs elsewhere. The day after tax season when your services are not urgent anymore, they lay a lot of people off.

      Pros

      It is a good place to start, but not to stay. The work-life balance is very good because there aren't a large number of deadlines

      Cons

      The overall atmosphere is a downer. It was a large, run down building and the management was mediocre at best.
