Pros

Great work life balance; some smart people; pretty good pay and benefits; good location

Cons

NO investment in employee development or growth. Individual skills/backgrounds ignored. Recognition/promotions based on friendships or favoritism (or 'whatever'), not abilities. Bad behavior often rewarded. Similar to what another review said, "when you are up you are up, when you are down, you are the bottom of the barrel". Shoved in a box and not allowed out. A very 'throw under the bus' environment - one fears for their job on a regular basis. Witnessed some really unprofessional behavior.

Pros

You have great individuals that you work with.

Cons

The team I worked at lacked leadership. I know this was not true for all the teams. Lack of experience from the leadership plus office politics was the reason why I left.

Pros

-Steady paychecks, raises always under market / inflation, but consistent available YOY. - Good peers to work with -Development of ERGs -The Learning Academy

Cons

The ELEVATE team is a textbook toxic, corporate culture. Data and facts don’t matter, only if you’re liked by senior leadership. Personal relationships influence leadership decisions that generally conflict true team needs. The ism’s - boss vs. leader , and needing to be right rather than get it right, apply frequently. -Everything is veiled, rarely is anything transparent. Consistently needing to worry about if something is a straightforward communication or a manipulation, or set up. -Consistent turn over, high volume of turn over. Burnt out employees. Low pay - comparatively to market and CCC as a whole. -Personal gain focus outweighing needs has created an unsustainable staffing situation making it nearly impossible to completely deliver to clients. Redundant reporting and tracking methods used. Perpetuating the cycle of burnout and frustration. CCC as a whole has gone through its rebirth from private to public. This caused pain in some expected ways. The organization as a whole does also have some systematic issues with women. -Expenses are scrutinized relentlessly and difficult software is required to book all travel. The travel partner responsible for all flights is verbally abusive and incoherent the majority of the time. Anytime it was brought to managers attention, “oh that’s just so and so” , no employee is deserving of someone screaming at them saying they’re stealing from the company because a flight changed. It makes sense to use these systems for expenses and oversight, don’t make it nearly impossible with archaic software and a just plain mean, travel agent. -Benefits started to be cut. Phone / Internet stipend got lowered. Raises not meeting inflation. Stock handed out like candy, but long term vesting timelines and struggling performance doesn’t drive much value to “total rewards”. -Women are paid less, managers and directors joke about this openly. It’s known.. The organization refuses to acknowledge it.

The team referenced by this ex-employee did experience some turnover in late 2022 when contracts and revenue increased due to the success of our products. In spite of the workload, the 2022 engagement score for this team was 86%, an extraordinary score for any company. Additional headcount was approved for 2023 and new hires are in the process of being onboarded. Our pay and benefits are benchmarked annually, and we also review internal compensation across functions, levels, and positions by various demographics, including gender.
