Avoid Corporate Depts Outside of Training/Sales
Pros
First, many of the reviews you see here are not authentic. You could probably guess that by the one-line five-star reviews. Second, departments at CCC are hypersegmented, so I strongly recommend reviewing the ratings within your desired dept. As general positives, the salary and benefits at CCC were very competitive. Consistently felt like I was surrounded by very smart individuals. The HR team really works hard to deliver candidates over long periods of time to fit department needs, so the hiring process can be a bit slow - don't let that discourage you if you choose to apply, or at least factor that into your application decision.
Cons
I have never seen so many co-workers crying out of frustration at any other company that I have worked at. It was heartbreaking. Broadly speaking, red tape/process makes it difficult to bring ideas to fruition here - even tracking down simple answers can be a challenge. It's not unusual to spend all day in meetings and have to do all of your work at night. More specifically to the marketing team, we struggled with: impossible-to-meet deadlines promised to ELT, assignments far outside job scope, consistently working weekends, phone calls on holidays, being cornered about other employees on the team, openly questioning employees ability to do their jobs, complaining that employees were overpaid, management complaining about subordinates to fellow subordinates, etc.
