Pros

Having a window to the latest technologies with customers Get to use and present these technologies to customers Very community focused organization Strong collegial culture Throughout the company coworkers work hard to support each other and make the work environment fun

Cons

Though a technology company, coworkers have difficulty getting the technology to use for themselves. Seems the company relies too much on our partners to provide the technology, rather than make the proper investments for us to do our jobs effectively.

Pros

CDW is not all sales. A large part of the company is focused on backend support - sales operations, shipping/receiving, marketing, product, hr, etc. I can't speak to Sales roles. But on the corporate side, there is much to enjoy about working for CDW. Work/Life Balance - Never had an issue if it was needed that I leave early due to emergency. I generally work about 40-45 hours per week. I come in between 7:30 and 9 and then leave 9 hours later (with an hour-ish lunch). Salary - Salary is competitive with industry. I will say that it seems outside hires will generally be compensated greater for a role than an internal transfer/promotion would receive. Benefits - Benefits won't blow you away, but nothing where you feel the need to purchase supplemental insurance or anything like that. Perks - Perks are all right. Company outing once a year, team outings a couple times a year, vendor lunches, etc. These are nice, but they're as I've described - perks. You don't select a job over a perk.

Cons

The biggest drawback for me is the lack of training/career growth assistance. I believe in making my own way, but at the same time it would be nice to have some direction with regard to trainings/classes/etc. I'll never understand why a company would not be interested in improving it's own employees' skill sets.
