      Their problems have very little to do with MDP and the economy

      Can't really think of any. How about "They used to be on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For"!

      Cons

      Ever since MPK left, their new leader has taken CDW down a long slow slide (growth has primarily come from aquisitions). MPK's replacement never did come to understand that delivering a quality product and execellent customer experience WAS THE PRODUCT (shocker, since he came from the airline industry). Slowly over the past 6 years, loyal customers have left and have not come back As the years went on, he populated the executive team with those who had similar ideas (and they in turn promoted management that had the same ideas). Politics and C.Y.A. rule the day now - if you are good at these things you should do well at least until the company finally goes under or the executive team is replaced.

      Pros

      Known company to put on a resume. Former co-workers were hard working and we had to work under some very stressful conditions to get the orders out.

      Cons

      Company is in a freefall. MDP buyout has destroyed morale for sales, operations and warehouse employees due to executive greed. This company is a prime candidate for the card check legislation pending and desperately needs to unionize. The turnover rate for employees was astronomical. Wages remained stagnent. You had to work for nintey days before your benefits kicked in, so you had to hope and pray that you or your family did not get sick or have a medical emergency in the mean time. Other large companies offer benefits from day one!

      Good place to start, good resume builder

      Good Place to start out. Co-workers are great

      Cons

      Employee morale seems to be at a very low point, more tenured Account Managers are losing large portions of their books to younger people. Company has a churn and burn mentality so large turnover rate makes customers upset when they are getting new account managers all the time.
