      Pros

      High paced, consistently challenging. Very intelligent group of people to work with. Loved that part of my job.

      Cons

      Lack of corporate understanding through TMP/WW chain. Consistently creating cutback vs customer scenarios. Still a very intelligent group of people but knowledge vs understanding are 2 different things.

      Pros

      They have an awesome slushee machine! And, wait for it……it’s free! Mountain Dew and Coke flavors! We just moved into a new building too, even though it’s still under construction and probably 3 months from being complete.

      Cons

      Company is completely dysfunctional. Two opposite companies with completely different platforms trying to operate as one-and failing miserably at it. Layers upon layers of management all the way to the top. Directors with one and sometimes no direct reports who would not qualify as middle managers in word class companies. No accountability whatsoever at the senior level. Leaders who fail and can’t be coached are demoted and moved instead of processed out of the business. Support structure is abysmal, especially human resources. Routine items like field support, employee morale and development, pay and data changes are a punch line-completely incompetent. No chance of promotion at the senior level unless you are part of the inner circle. There’s even a nickname for the circle, come on, say it with me….Sad to say, but senior leaders should stay away from this company.

      Pros

      I only planned to stay with CHEP a couple of years, as I had always been one to take a job, learn it and look to progress into a more challenging, higher paid role. Historically that meant moving from company to company. But I am now in my tenth year with CHEP and I have progressed well and felt no desire to leave because of the people, culture and quite unique nature of the business. This site is in danger of being like Trip Advisor, with only the people with gripes having the inclination to spend time writing review so it is important to me that anyone wanting to know more about CHEP reads this and understands just how great a company it is to work for in the UK.

      Cons

      The only negatives I have come across in my time with CHEP are due to individuals, not the company itself. And most of those work elsewhere now!
