Pros

There is a lot of room for advancement and pay is good.

Cons

Professionalism in the work environment was horrible, many employees were dishonest and embezzling; software implementation and logistics was over spending due to "under the table" agreements with vendors and over paying for consulting services and logistic services. Software implementation was inefficient with no consideration of business needs in other countries. When any emloyee addressed the issues they were marginalized. Very few employees know how to dress professionally.

Pros

If you can keep up with the pace and learn on the fly it is a great place to work. There is plenty of opportunity for growth and benefits are fantastic.

Cons

If you want to grow you will work very hard. At times the silo effect kicks in, and undue political red tape must be worked through.

Solid company, publicly-traded, very cost-driven

Pros

Good pay and benefits; they stay fairly strong in tough economic times since most of their customers provide groceries and other consumer essentials.

Cons

Because the parent company in Australia is traded publicly, they sometimes make reactive organizational changes to meet shareholder expectations, with little thought to long-term impact. Also, the culture lacks a "gel" - teams often work in silos, could benefit from more "family" mentality across the organization, which starts with hiring employees to buy into that.
