Pros

As a manager your were expected to sell. If you finished the year with above average sales, and sold the add-on services to furniture (Stain protection, extended warranty, etc) you can earn a 2-3 day vacation with the company . They consisted of 2 or 3 day stays at Boca Resort, Key Largo, even a 5 day cruise that was cancelled due to Covid. Most Sales Reps live for these sales contests which could difficult to qualify as it always seemed to be top 5% of sales staff.

Cons

Working hours 45+ hours per week. Say good bye to weekends and Holidays as they are mandatory work days, you get one to choose a weekend off every quarter but never guaranteed. Sick days are micro managed, if you miss a day you have to come in on off day. Hard to be promoted as they recently cut the management staff in half due to covid.

Pros

City Furniture is more like a family than a job. They take a genuine interest in the employees. The training is comprehensive and everyone is super helpful. I couldn’t ask for more. I’m glad I found this company.

Cons

None that I can think of
