Good and Bad - Lack of control over business units

Good learning opportunities and abillity to participate in operations training. Many top notch coworkers in I/T

Cons

Lack of control over behaviour in business units of directors/vp. Mgmt turns blind eye to tyranny.

Pros

The pay was excellent better than industry standards. When seniority was handled properly choice road jobs could be had without any issue.

Cons

The worst management structure ever was in place at the CN if wasn't management driven it wasn't going to fly. The only real issue with working out of Memphis was the terrible Superintendent.

Management is way overrated and archaic. Bully tactics. They wouldn't last a day in the real world.
