      Co workers are generally great to work with, crews pull together to get assignments done

      Cons

      First layer of management very inexperienced, to the point of being redi ulous. By the time they learn how to do the job they usually have had enough of upper management and end up quitting

      Pay is good, guys on the ground are generally good people.

      Cons

      If you're not hired by now, you're probably screwed. Anyone hired past late 2013/early 2014 is basically flirting with retention (aka we don't need you, but we'll still pay you) and laid-off status (still considered an employee, but CN won't pay you anything). Until the top 500-600 employees retire due to attrition, nothing about this situation will change for a few years, so you better get busy with other jobs if you decide to stick with it.
