Pros

This person is clearly intelligent

Cons

Extremely cruel and horrible person. It’s incredible how management rewards bad behavior within organizations. This man ends up getting a promotion and is an absolute cruel and mean tyrant.

Pros

Great team, top of the business, some of the best journalism out there, good benefits, good office culture, many opportunities to work in different departments.

Cons

Lack of opportunity for editorial debate ; the daily tasks have become robotic and workflow has increased tremendously; not much support and understanding from management.

Pros

-Benefits and unlimited PTO (which they do make accommodations for, and allow you to take) -camaraderie amongst colleagues

Cons

Long time employee here. The heydey is long gone. Upper management missed the boat on Digital, streaming and podcasting - instead choosing to put too many eggs in the dying TV/linear basket. Always playing catch-up on new technologies, with mediocre final products. The micromanagement is unreal. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Everyone is spinning wheels trying to justify a need for their role and impress higher-ups, as layoffs loom once again. This place is no longer about telling great stories, it's about making upper management happy. People working on the TV side are having a hard time letting go of the fact that ratings are in the tank, and Digital is where the audience is now. When layoffs happen or people leave on their own accord - their positions are very rarely filled these days, as money is extinct here . Everyone else picks up the slack, and there is no additional compensation or benefit. Lots of people are jumping ship - and for good reason. There's always talk about unique storytelling, original reporting etc...but programming is all about Trump, Trump, Trump. Get a clue, the audience is burnt out on politics.
