      No room for advancement... Senior level management out of touch.

      Pros

      Good work/life balance. Some middle managers are decent. Plenty of work to keep you busy.

      Cons

      Not any room to advance. Senior level management needs to think more about the employees they direct. Demanding more services/work without giving additional resources will not work in the long term. People are fed up.. especially in ITS. Making employees work 50+ hours per week will eventually burn them out. Lots of ridiculous ideas that come from senior management.. Senior management is COMPLETELY out of touch with regular staff employees. They are in their own little "la-la" land world where everything is great and nothing is wrong. Morale is dropping severely low for those working at Country.

      Opportunity to learn. Less work pressure. Small/agile teams. Good leadership from management. No micromanagement of work. Relative flex work timings.

      Salary not on par with other big insurance company in town. Less growth/advancement opportunities in the job. Peer politics. Small company.

      A GREAT fortune 600 company with great products, work environment and support

      Pros

      COUNTRY is a great company for anyone new to the business or with years of experience. Their wide array of competitive products and goal of helping everyone achieve financial security sets them apart from the competition. Offering a base salary, plus first year commissions, plus office expenses and some marketing expense makes this an ideal place to get start in a career with unlimited control of your time and income. Their newly revamped training program has rocketed them to the top in delivering the training and support necessary to get started in this challenging field.

      Cons

      Name recognition-- although COUNTRY is a fortune 600 company they spend their marketing dollars on local events and in support of their reps. They're philosophy is not to out Geico, Geico. But to be on the ground delivering a tangible financial security plan for their clients and prospects
