Pros

High Values and Family environment are what originally attracted me to the Company. Those values are no more in this COUNTRY club.

Cons

CIO-clueless imposter officer CEO-Must be blind or setting the Company up for a buyout.

Pros

I made a lot of money the first couple of years. I worked very hard and I definitely was a great agent for them. I made the Power Producers List for 3 years running. Then they decided that all agents should have their securities licenses. It took me a while to get it, (very difficult while still trying to sell). I got my license (only the 3rd one in the office to have it, out of 7 agents) and they started breathing down my neck to produce. I was supposed to be flipped to a career agent, but they flipped a male agent who didn't meet the criteria!!

Cons

The "managers" make more than $300,000 which doesn't include the commissions they make off the backs of the agents. Definitely a "good old boys" club and they are very narrow minded about their managers, who quite often have never been an agent. After they bought MSI back in 2003-2004, their rates went through the roof. And get rid of the FARM BUREAU!!! For God Sake, NO ONE wants to pay $20.00 to the Farm Bureau!!!

Security breach coming???

Pros

Small IT shop with very relaxed controls and methods of securing data.

Cons

Most of the IT shop is being outsourced or moved off-shore. Many long time employees have been laid off, only after training their off-shore replacement. Off shore temporary employees do not have the care and/or quality in the service provided to the Country Financial business and agent community. The new CIO recently hired was the Target Chief Officer that was in charge during the great security breach. It is of great concern one will happen before long at Country now that much of the IT staff are temporary offshore programmers.
