Not many pros - other than the company was running better before SS took over as CEO.

Ineffective U.S. leadership team and lack of trust.

Pros

The overall company has a decent culture and most levels of upper management are respectful and really care about their employees. They have Ok benefits considering the fact insurance costs are through the roof offering less and less coverage every year. A large amount of the people are great to work with and makes time at work enjoyable. They offer good pay and potential bonuses based on position.

Cons

This organization struggles to have effective leadership within IT. The management and director levels are constantly changing and most people put in those spots are very incapable of making good choices for the organizations overall IT needs. The attitude of most people in IT is a bitter sour taste in the mouth. High levels of criticism and focus on negative outcomes rather than focusing on positive ones and using those moments to fuel the employees to better themselves. Overall this organization struggles to do IT efficient. There is zero room to grow in this organization within IT. The organization chart as very little depth and in some cases has too many people reporting to a single person. The work/life balance is sometimes non existent within IT with on call rotations and many locations and business units to support with minimal support staff.

Immature Leadership

Pros

Pay scales are genuinely adequate. Most of the staff are trying their best.

Cons

This is quite literally the most immature leadership team I've ever worked for. Completely insular (almost all of the Senior staff were brought along from Western Union) - the company is managed secretively, primarily through fear and intimidation. Competent staff disappears in the night (fired? quit? No one knows) The CEO is MIA - and pops up on quarterly meetings only. He surrounds himself with a group of D-level yes men &women. Planning & Analysis is not a thing that is discussed - and decisions are made to appease people like a mother pops a bottle into a crying baby's mouth. A single VC owns a majority of this company and all actions are to increase stock price in order for the PCs to cash out. This company would be a Business School Case Study if anyone had ever heard of it.
