Do not treat managers very good

The LMT program is a joke. They'll tell you anything you need to hear during the interview process to get you to Calgary. They aren't looking for intelligent employees, just warm bodies to fill the roles because the turnover rate is so high. Except 60+ hour work weeks every week with no O/T, until they burn you out. You probably won't finish the program though, most don't. The railway is the still the old boys club, and the culture/attitudes still very much reflect that despite what "policies" CP has in place. Safety takes a back seat to productivity the second you leave the classroom.
