Beautiful scenery, working on trains, good pay, benefits, and pension.

Cons

Huge group of mean, negative, judgy, back stabbing immature gossip mongers. Very few good ones who stay out of the drama and bs. Makes for a stressful, uncomfortable work environment. On call 24/7, sometimes Have to stay overnight in another town. No regular days off. You can earn a day off, but you cannot choose which day that is, because you can only have certain days off according to your hire date. The mean people make the job really stressful, stabbed in the back all the time for anything you do. Dare open your mouth or give and you are judged.

Pros

Despite majority consensus, this company at a management level will have your back and wants you to have the best experience possible. When you a good employee it can be rewarded.

Cons

There are times that local management seem out to get you. But safety is paramount. Do a good job and all is fine. This company, in my experience, will have your back if you deserve it. I am thankful for this job and am excited for a long and fulfilling career.
