Pros

Shop atmosphere, usually cool coworkers. Learning a useful skill and could build a career off of it depending on who you work for and with.

Cons

Owner was awful. Paid us by Zelle (sketchy) and would buy just about anything off the street so that he can ship it back to his country to make a profit. You will be dealing with stolen phone transactions on the daily from pretty sketchy people. It is obvious when a person comes in every week with brand new, in box iphones. There was also several times that I had to ask for my paycheck, and more than several times I had to ask about being paid my tips. Being in this industry for nearly 20 years, ive ran into others that also worked for these guys and had the same exact problems, even worse than me at times. They also told me I was being hired for a district manager position due to my extensive background in this field, but was kept running the store by myself until I quit, even though I brought it up several times. I was also paid less than what was agreed upon hiring. Ultimately, stay away from the Houston area CPR shops as they are mostly all owned by this same family and operate the same way. Research the CPR you are interested in and get a feel for what the owners are like. My first real shop I worked for was CPR and I learned so much from my hometown owners, so there is a chance there are still good ones out there.
