Pros

Good Colleagues - while they are still employed: Sites across the UK

Cons

Watching the increasing stream of colleagues leave by choice (lucky) or through redundancy. Constant stream of shameless shtick from senior managers, congratulating progress on accounts that have had all their staff slashed and expertise decimated; Being forced to take AL at certain points of the year in order to reduce overhead costs at accounting periods - usually just ahead of stakeholder calls.

Pros

People, still have some good people. A friendly place to work with a pragamatic approach to the work/home balance, good support for training and personal development.

Cons

No pay rise in recent history, none on the horizon. Although just been through a round of redundancies, another is on the horizon, therefore people who can get other jobs are leaving before they are pushed.

Pros

Nice tuition reimbursement: $10,000/year for Bachelors; $15,000/year for Masters with 1 year required after completion

Cons

Sexist environment, older, male employees, mostly retired Army who are adverse to technology. No flex time, must take leave and sick time in 8 hour increments, can only accumulate one year of leave (10 days) which does not allow much time off. Manager will work with "in-crowd" regarding time off for Dr appt or school but is not consistent with all employees. Be careful about the job description you are applying for. These managers over inflate the job descriptions for all jobs so that they can pay a higher wage, but most employees are disappointed with their jobs. Management doesn't understand that there are other motivators, such as flex time and job ownership, that are as important or more important than salary. Decision-making and information are tightly controlled at the top, with most everyone else, regardless of job title, relegated to admin-type work.
