      Talented employees but lack of leadership

      * Lots of talented employees * Many clients from whom you can learn about their business niches * Some interesting assignments

      Cons

      * Leadership is out of touch * "Elitist" attitude by some upper management / executives * CSC values are not demonstrated; managment talks the talk but can't walk the walk * Inconsistent deployment of critical policies / practices, including those that are supposed to protect employees * Human Resources seriously lacking with regard to practices and follow-up

      Pros

      An excellent induction programme for new starters, that helped employees to bond and start building a network. And the canteen is fantastic!!

      Cons

      Everything else - 70 hour weeks was the norm, management are quick to give negative feedback but not praise for good performance. According to market data, salaries at CSC for most people are far lower than the market - unless you have friends in high places who can put in an excessive increase. Information is not shared among staff, making work very difficult.

      Laid back atmosphere, very flexible

      Cons

      Not very challenging. The area I was in didn't really seem interested in growing their technical competence. This attitude fostered a culture of developers right out of college or on their way to retirement.
