Sick of the lies...

Pros

The people I work with are great. So many people here are grateful for their jobs because they used to work in hotels and restaurants and don't have high school diplomas.

Cons

The managers are liars. They make up fake survey results to win awards. They make promises when you get hired and then change or forget the promises after you accept the job. The VP's spend their time fighting with each other and stabbing each other in the back. The employees are just pawns in their games. The VP's are spending their money on a new building in Wilmington that's costing more than $50million and paying for it by cutting salaries, eliminating bonuses and cutting jobs. It's sickening. The customer support people are working weekends and holidays to finish processing (many of them earn just above minimum wage) and all of the profits go to the VP's to pay for their vacation homes, boats, horse ranches and vacations to Europe. It's disgusting.

Software development chaos, favoritism and discrimination (borderline harassment). No career path. Senior Management is going downhill.

This place sucks. It's like working in a dungeon. The leaders spend their time fighting with each other and trying to stab each other in the back while ignoring the employees. I quit a good job to come here because of the good reputation I heard about. I'm so sorry I did that. HR convinced me that the culture is so good that I would be willing to take a pay cut to work there. I did and I'm so sorry that I did. They lie to you and step on your head. I worked six weekends in a row trying to get a project finished only to have my Director tell me that it didn't matter because I wasn't working on the SalesForce development projects (he was the one who told me that I needed to work extra to get it done!). Stupid me, I picked the wrong project. The business leaders treat IT like they are the plague. The people in customer service are good. They seem to appreciate when you solve problems for them. I spent extra time learning how they did things and they seemed to appreciate that. I quit because I got tired of being treated like dirt.
