Promotions and appraisals seem to depend more on staying close to senior management, especially the Vice President, rather than purely on performance. Hard work and actual contributions are not always recognized during appraisal cycles. Employees who maintain strong personal relationships with leadership appear to receive better opportunities and visibility. Some favored employees receive back-to-back promotions despite limited involvement in actual project work, often just by attending meetings. The management approach sometimes feels biased, which can affect team morale and motivation. Even for personal leave, employees are required to email the manager for approval, which can become unnecessarily stressful. The manager’s behavior can feel overly strict or toxic at times, creating pressure for even small issues. There is constant pressure to remain active and available, leaving little room for flexibility. No career growth. The work culture in the testing team, in particular, can be challenging, and potential candidates should carefully evaluate the environment before joining.
