      CSC - very attractive for new joiners and attractive for pay and benefits.

      Pros

      Pay is very good and tax benefits are good. Good facilities like gym, weekly doctor checkups, gives loans for buying car, computer etc.,

      Cons

      Don't work on latest technologies. Always tasks are very repetitive. Doesn't use employees fully of their abilities. Often it takes lot of time for bringing a resource on board. Not sure where we are heading after recent integration. If you are a fresher joining CSC, you might know least about process , some times you may end up doing not technical work.

      Pros

      Working at CSC gives you an opportunity to work with really smart people. You also have excellent opportunities to learn new skills (mostly self-service and on-line training options),

      Cons

      If you are coming from outside firm (non-IT consulting) you may have difficulty adjusting to this environment. Relationships with your clients is of utmost importance, but there is a great deal of pressure to be chargeable. Even though client relationships are valued, SLA's are how your are measured. Many CSC employees work out of their home offices so it does not necessarily foster a great "team" environment.

      Pros

      CSC GBS has very open culture. I can easily call/email a leader in a specific area and ask them questions. I have done this to learn more about where I may want to go in the future. The flexibility to go among different areas is encouraged. The work/life balance seems to be good.

      Cons

      Recent Mandatory vacation policy, travel policy, and other changes make it hard to enjoy the luxuries of being a consultant. Because of the acquisitions that CSC is known for the culture is different among BU and geographies. Brand recognition is amazingly low although CSC is now working on improving this.
