      One dimensional. Self managing with little chance of advancement.

      Pros

      May have opportunities to work from home. That's about it.

      Cons

      Little or no team concept. Be prepared to do things on your own and to look out for yourself because management or leadership is sorely lacking. Work-life balance non-existing. Like a colleague of mine used to say......They suck the life out of you"

      Pros

      CSC hires very good people, mostly. I worked in CSC Defense and it was probably the best group of folks I've ever worked with. The movers and shakers at HQ in Falls Church VA, are another matter. You are nothing more than a number or a widget to those folks.

      Cons

      CSC is so fractured and fragmented, that often when you compete for contract work, you find that you're competing with another segment of CSC for the same work. It is completely insane.

      Pros

      The team I worked with was great, I made some friends I hope to have forever. I learned a lot while working there.

      Cons

      They do not pay appropriately when they promote from within, I was there for 11 years and was about 50% below the market for my position. They do not have a company culture except for work. There is no work life balance, and very few training opportunities. I got 3 training classes in 10+ years. The company does not value it's employees, it treats them all as replaceable cattle, no one is valued for their experience or knowledge of the environment.
