It's a large corporation that's been around for a while.

Cons

Senior management is very detached from the day-to-day workings and unaware of broad corporate failings.

Not for everybody, but rewarding for the right person

Pros

The work is very challenging and the environment is very dynamic. Senior management is very supportive and project managers typically have come up throught the ranks so they are better able to keep their fingers on the pulse and better manage projects. From what I know, compensation is more than fair.

Cons

Since we are a vendor of insurance software, marketing often falls into the trap of promising too much in too little time. The fallout often falls on the production staff. The office environment where I work could use a face lift.

Lots of different career paths. Very knowledgeable peers. This company has a stronghold into many different industries Insurance, Defense, Civil, Genreal Consulting etc.

Cons

Size and Intertia of the company makes it slow to respond.
