Great folks to work with. Good place to start a career in health care. Donors are a bit hard to Work with

Low pay, long hours. Center management is not very good about keeping staff accountable. Limited opportunity to advance in the company

Pros

You learn about the ins and outs of collecting plasma and its many uses. You meet new people and build friendships.

Cons

Employees are underpaid and overworked, as well as Management setting themselves a part from them instead of it being like everyone's on the same team. And would you believe that this place of business is not considered a medical facility although it involves phlebotomy, so if an employee got blood or something on themselves, even with wearing protection and all, they are pretty much on their own, hopefully it's not tainted. AND, speaking of, there should be a requirement to have a more in depth screening on donors. Seems like any and everyone can donate as long as their blood pressure is low, don't have AIDS and answer all of the questions on the application. Who cares if they tell the truth or not because no one checks!
