      No good reasons to suggest to work for these people

      Cons

      Gives you a bad attitude, high turnover, weekends are 10 hrs. 30 minute lunch that you might get after you have been there 7 hrs. 1 10 minute break full time or part time. Have a doctor's mote for using restroom more then twice. Your being watched through the entire day.

      I was a Phlebotomist and it was the worst job I ever had. If I could give this a zero star rating, I would have.

      Pros

      Great for 18-25 year olds who are just starting out and looking for basic...VERY basic phlebotomy skills. I really have no other pros, but need a 20 word minimum for this field.

      Cons

      Management sucks. Plain and simple. It's favoritism and cliques are similar to high school. Donors treat you with very little respect and management does absolutely nothing about it. Some donors come in with foul body odor, dirty fingernails and their clothes are not clean. They appear to be homeless. How these donors make it past screening, I don't know. A certified phlebotomist walks in at an hourly pay of $9.76 per hour, sometimes even less than that. The "closing" hours will have you guessing what time you will even get home.

      Pros

      Worked with my class schedule while I was in college, making graduating possible in a timely manner. Competitive health, 401k, and stock options. The company has over 100 centers in the US and once you reach a certain level the company will pay for you to relocate to another center. Lots of options for advancement. One of the only companies I can think of where you can literally work your way up the ladder with only a high school diploma. The plasma industry is also recession proof. When the economy tanked in 2008-2009 we only did even more business.

      Cons

      Not always the best at rooting out the worthless employees and terminating them, making things more difficult for those willing to work hard. Base pay starts lower than it should based on the risk of blood borne pathogens. Fast paced work environment which I enjoy but a lot of people do not.
