Pros

Decent pay, long but regular (mostly) shifts with many days off at a time, good health and safety, good improvement of processes

Cons

Nepatism and politics are rife, the warehouse and factory workers seem to have a terrible time, and it created an awful environment, mass abuse of "temporary" workers who were not temporary at all but an excuse not to give basic rights

Pros

The salary can be very good. There is an extremely friendly and diverse environment and a lot of people I met on site were absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't be able to sing their praises any more. On site facilities such as the canteen, toilets, offices are kept to a very high standard. Health and safety standards and communication on site were very good, and the Zaptic health and safety software makes reporting any issues and near misses very easy. It's not a bad workload for the most part.

Cons

Training can often lack depending on the department you are in, and very often simply consists of reading a standard operating procedure about machinery that you do not understand followed by training from an operative who may or may not understand the principles of operation themselves. Some of the departments are very good for encouraging development and training, while others can be extremely lacklustre. Company politics can often feel overwhelming. Low moral was a common encounter in certain departments as some staff did not feel they were supported or listened to by certain members of management. Management also needs to be observed more often. Realistically someone should be ensuring that gowns, IPA 70/30 spray and other inventory are fully stocked, and that shoes are not shared as a basic matter of hygiene for example. Some areas of management are just in their own corporate bubble unfortunately. Staffing levels can often feel needlessly low due to extremely poor foresight, despite the warnings of staff on the floor. Innovation often feels discouraged as there are no proper channels or reward schemes. This doesn't need to be the case, as stated previously, some departments run fantastically, and others not so much.
