      Good benefits Most departments are very good to work for/with Job Security

      A lot of internal empire building In order to advance, you have to be chosen by executive management as worthy to sit at the table. Lack of communication by executive management If you don't fit the model of what they are looking for, life will be difficult.

      Pros

      The money is not to bad nor are the benefits. You are contributing to railroad retirement and not in social security.

      Cons

      You are always on the road or rails in this case away from home. If you are not a family guy then this may be the job for you.
