Pros

I liked what I did no matter what department I was in. Pay was ok, liked the 4 day schedule. Fellow workers were nice for the most part but my particular department lead played favorites with employees of her own ethnicity and made it very uncomfortable when they would "speak" amongst themselves.

Cons

Sent home several days a week. Insured job was secure, things just slow right now. When asked management about job security question was either avoided or told we don't know. Found out only "certain" employees were sent home. Laid off via email. Learned it was not a Total Department layoff as originally told. Promised to be called back, assured layoff was due only to lack of work not my performance and management was eager to bring me back. Others have been called back but I am still waiting! Unless you are in thick with your department lead you are at high risk of not being one of the lucky ones who got to continue collecting a paycheck since November.

The flexibility our temporary staff provides for us is critical to the success of our business and we value each and every temporary associate and the contributions they make to CTDI. That being said, we understand that it is very difficult when we have to reduce our temporary staff when our customer workload slows down and we empathize that you are disappointed we could not maintain your temporary assignment. We appreciate that you are eager to come back if the work picks up and please be assured that as a company we are committed to any and all employment decisions being made regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, creed, marital status, national origin, or disability to the extent required by law.
