Pros

The Fort Collins branch had a modern office, and staffed it with attractive (but marginally competent) support personnel. They do have experience with esoteric building practices.

Cons

Their per diem is $17.50/day, which barely feeds the person working out-of-town and certainly doesn't cover laundry or other daily necessities. Compensation is below industry average. They haven't recovered from the downturn as well as they should have. Work-life balance is non-existent, but that is standard in this industry.

Pros

CTL has an excellent reputation with their clients and has a very high percentile of repeat clients. Current leadership is mentoring new/upcoming leadership so that the reputation and quality of work will remain intact for a long time to come. CTL hires intelligent and straight-forward people. There is not a lot of 'politics' involved in working at CTL | Thompson.

Cons

Vacation and 401k policies could be better.

Pros

I truly enjoyed my time working with CTL as a corporate marketing assistant. I had the opportunity to build my marketing career and learn marketing's Best Practices from the Director of Marketing and the Vice President.

Cons

The only thing I can think of is the lack of upward mobility due to the department heads being excellent at their job.
