      There is a good mix of people at CVS and you can always learn something from coworkers that can carry you to the next step in your career

      Cons

      The expectations are extremely high and the compensation is minimal. Working hard and following guidelines will not help you get ahead. Raises are insultingly small

      Pros

      There are tons of opportunities for advancement in this huge company. Always looking to promote from within. Brand new training program. Employees looking to advance can learn from home. A great learning experience. How to deal with customers. How to manage a staff. How to build sales. HOW TO HELP THE CUSTOMERS.These are things CVS is fantastic at. You get a rewarding feeling by helping your customers. You can actually build a relationship with your customers. Some people come in every single day and you will learn their name and what they're all about. The most advanced technology. Everything in the store works like a charm. The absolute best benefits. Store discount, health insurance, cell phone discount, vehicle discount, appliances for your home discount, legal assistance. The list goes on and on.

      Cons

      Very under-staffed. There just aren't enough budgeted hours to efficiently help everyone you need to help. There have been days when I fill prescriptions, run the photo lab, and do payroll and office things. Entry level pay is pretty fair for retail but store management definitely needs to be paid more.
