Pros

It is the #1 company in pharmacy right now. It offers a good benefit program and although slow to adapt to industry changes once embraced empowers its employees to move foward as the industry leader.

Cons

Salary for lower level positions. Although RPh salaries are average for industry standards, support staff is incredibly underpaid and therefore affects daily operations of the company putting more stress on the pharmacy and increasing the risk for errors.

Pros

Don't work there it is a bad company. They have no respect for there employees and they ask for more then one person could ever due in on given day. CVS/Pharmacy will not keep anyone for along time. They will fire you or make you quit.

Cons

No days off. Bad working enviroment. They harrass you until you quit your job and you will never see your family or friends. I was more tired then I had ever been.

Pros

Working at CVS, on the store level at least, can very much go either way. If you find yourself in store with decent management and good coworkers, it has the potential to be a great experience. CVS can offer a flexible schedule, laid back working environment, the opportunity to make wonderful personal connections with both coworkers and a bevy of customers, and if you're interested, you can learn a whole lot about pharmaceuticals.

Cons

The biggest problems you run into at CVS are usually caused by corporate. Initiatives are handed down to the store level, and despite apparently being successful in pilot stores, they frequently just aren't practical. Also, possibly the most discouraging thing about working at CVS is that if/when a customer takes issue with a policy and you stand firm, there will always be someone higher up willing to break the policy and make you look foolish in the name of customer service.
