      Great coworkers, antiquated systems and management

      Pros

      My coworkers at Cabela's were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed being there, and there was a good team working environment, except for having to compete for certain promotions (credit card sign ups or personal reviews).

      Cons

      Management were never the nicest people. Always competing against other departments, and seemed to lose sight of customer satisfaction at times. Also, the scheduling system was awful.

      Pros

      The people are great and you're really encouraged to go out and try products. If you love the outdoors then this is the place to work for learning more about products and helping others who might not know.

      Cons

      The credit card quota is outrageously complicated. In an area where the majority of customers are low-income or college students, being pushed to force a credit card on someone who can't afford it is difficult.
