Pros

The leadership team within the GBS organization is highly impressive. While they set high expectations, they also provide the necessary resources and support to ensure success. I have encountered some of the most effective leaders in my career during my time here. The direct manager for this role is exceptional, and the dotted line leaders are distinguished professionals with extensive experience within the company. I will genuinely miss collaborating with them. There is a wealth of valuable insights and knowledge to be gained from their expertise, not only in procurement but also in alignment with the principles of the "Cabot Way."

Cons

**Commercial Team Leadership**: To enhance logistics and operations, They need to address the challenges posed by inconsistent demand forecasting and there understanding of shipping, packaging materials, and customer requirements. **System Enhancements**: Implementing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities will greatly improve efficiency and effectiveness. **Shipping Hours Improvement**: Shipping hours beyond the current schedule of 06:00 to 14:00, and the limited 06:00 to 09:00 at some locations will provide greater flexibility and meet customer needs. **Warehouse Space Optimization**: As a manufacturer, it’s vital that we enhance our sites to accommodate missed shipments and schedules, whether arranged by the customer or by Cabot. Designing solutions for improved warehouse space management will help us better support our shipping needs and maintain customer satisfaction. **Logistics and Operations** - It is essential for logistics and operations to be included in sales meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, requirements, and expectations. For two years, procurement and operations, have asked to be apart of them, but the commercial team always declines. Addressing challenges effectively starts with being aware of what customers truly wants and needs. By collaborating closely during these discussions, we can ensure a more successful outcome for everyone involved.

Pros

If you happen to become the boss’ favorite and you are a good manipulator, you will likely climb the corporate ladder and advance in your career.

Cons

Low wages, limited growth opportunities, subjective and unfair performance review processes, incompetent management, workplace bullying and harassment is permitted as long as the person doing it is an “asset” to the company.
