"Buyer beware"

Pros

Personal Time Off is generous.

Cons

Truly inexperienced Home Center Management Team resulting in poor Leadership and ineffective management of a Sales Team. Lack of transparency in bonus calculations. Unrealistic Territory assignments due to lack of proper staff hiring. Current Leadership has not generated any new accounts during the last 18mths, resulting in a lost opportunity for increased revenue. Tremendous turnover in US Corporate Staff with the outcome as a in lack of oversite.

Pros

Home life balance is great. Decent pay and benefits If you can pull it off and not care about your job or the company, you will be fine. If you want to make the place better and improve processes, you will go insane.

Cons

Zero ownership of any kind. Make up a reason why you cannot perform and leadership will think you're doing great. There is a cabal (not secret) that runs the show from Israel. Extremely helpful to be Israeli. Zero involvelment from global leaders. 50% of their business is US generated. R&D don't seem to be interested in hearing what the US market needs. i.e. not porcelain. A strong belief they are better and worth more than the competition,...they're not. VP's are absolutely unappologetically unaware of the business and how to succeed. Bad judgements covered up with more bad decisions. I believe in Latin they would refer to them as "non compos mentis" or nincompoops. Of the four P's to be successful, they have none. (People, product, process and a plan) They are buoyed by litigation that will likely sink them in the next few years. Employees are leaving after they reduced headcount (again). Consciences employees leave. Significant legal investigation into bonus plans. They will figure differently for different employees with the same job. Whichever pays less. Morally and ethically challenged at the top. Sr management will defend a bad decision to their death.

A Place to Fail Upwards

Pros

Good place to stay for 1-2 years and then use that as a launching pad to work for a more competent competitor. Benefits average, getting worse, time off is good and respect for work hours.

Cons

Senior Leaders spend all of their time patting themselves on the back on how great they are while never learning the business and never actually accomplishing anything as sales plummet month after month. They come in from out of town, will spend 2-3 years pretending to make major changes, before bailing to the next sucker company handing out big checks. A lot of failing up, directors and VP filled with a bunc of talentless yes-men and women who are good at telling each other how great they are as sales collapse. Any 5 random account managers could run this company better. Also, nightmarish logistics and planning, overpriced product, nonsensical marketing, and on and on. Internal advancement is based on being of the correct heritage and seemingly nothing else, based on who gets laid off, who gets promoted... massive turnover as good employees leave as soon as possible, and the bad employees stay forever. Oh, and they will screw you over on compensation any way they can. It takes months to process bonuses and they are always smaller than expected and the calculation methods are top secret so just deal with it... they will also give you sales targets after the period for which the sales targets have already occurred. Not joking.
