Pros

Its a job where nobody actually does any work and at the same time prefer not be bothered in anyway. If you are motivated and driven human being who wants to grow as an individual this may be hard. If you are looking to grow, this may conflict with you as well.

Cons

Stay away from the clerical and admin teams. They have supervisors who have been creating a toxic work environment for their employees and writing them up negatively. Luckily I never had to deal with that but the turnover rate is high because of inexperience and micromanaging. If you work as a surveyor like me its fun. If you are a clerk this is a place to avoid. If you don't mind being micromanaged and mistreated without having any HR department to turn to, by all means apply. The only help you can receive is from a union you would pay into that takes a month to respond and eventually lets you know they cannot help you.

Pros

Not applicable because they are so stuck in 19th century leadership style and culture. Diversity and inclusion? Yeah right.

Cons

Bureaucratic, biased, favoritism world. Will never work here again.

Pros

Great benefits and work life balance. Your life outside of work is respected. The workplace is not stressful. Amazing place to learn about how government agencies operate and build your resume in public service.

Cons

The majority of the workplace is over 55 and contains employees who have been working there for decades. This makes it a difficult workplace to enact change, as many people who work there are comfortable and deeply resistant to change. This does affect retention of younger employees.
