Pros

Great model where what's best for the client is put first. The people are what makes this company and I work with a great group.

Cons

We have a yearly opportunity to meet and train as a team. I'd like more training opportunities.

Pros

Smart, dedicated front line who put clients - and the students they serve - first.

Cons

Decision making is concentrated with less than an handful of individuals who have positioned themselves as indispensable... They might ask for input, field concerns, and preach about process, but there's a reason why this company's been around for almost 25 years and still seems dated. Their promises and pep talks lack sincerity. Too much of the team is living in the past, coming on board because they were members of the CEO's fan club from a bygone era. Large percentage of talent joins because they're members of the CEO's fan club from a bygone era, not because they're looking to make a difference.

Pros

CampusWorks is a company that cares about its people and its clients. Their mission to collaborate with colleges and universities to transform the institutional environment so students, faculty and staff thrive - is a worthy endeavor. That makes me excited to start work each day. It is growing fast so the workload is generally heavy and fast paced but upper level management supports work/life balance. It is a place where personal growth is encouraged, and rewards good work and good ideas. We are given a great deal of freedom to make decisions and take action to improve our areas of responsibility. We work with top notch people who share the vision and mission of the company. Our business comes primarily from recommendations from satisfied clients. It is a delight to work for a company that has that kind of reputation. Over and over again, our services and solutions come not from cookie cutter options but rather by listening to our clients needs and giving our great people the freedom to create solutions that work well for our clients. I call that fun - and exciting.

Cons

We are growing very rapidly so the work load often is heavy and fast paced - it is both a positive and a challenge. We are developing processes and implementing systems as we grow which can be challenging and will create some growing pains. It is a part of the process so people need to expect there will be process reevaluation and changes along the way. The good news with that is that we get to be a part of creating our own solutions and impact how things get improved along the way so that we can continue to provide high quality services to our clients. Many of our people do travel often so it is important to value the work we do and the great results we seek to create for our clients enough to make the travel worth while.
