They have a lot of work, and not many technicians, so you can get hired directly, indirectly, contract, etc.
Cons
Even as a lead tech, they don't pay much. They may work you long hours and run you around. The Work Order Managers do not reflect proper rationality when assesing information. For instance, a van was being serviced at a PepBoys. The technician was written up for parking a long time. The technician had to then fight the write-up, which he failed. They can't keep technicians for a reason. And the ones they have are the ones that seem to have all manners of strange health issues. So they want healthy individuals to carry the unhealthy management team. They will put you on break fix if they think you're a bad dog.
