Pros

-boss is good and kind -friendly work environment -office location has many good food nearby -if u can stay long enough eventually will get promoted

Cons

-the HR is very bad. Favoritism is practiced where some people can do certain things while others can't -HR likes to nitpick from clothes to shoes to hair. What is acceptable at most places is not acceptable here -HR is also 2 headed. Nice in front of u but backstab u in meetings -all the people in management has been in the company more than 20 years. No way to change the culture and mindset. -one of those places where u work long enough u move up very similar to gov sector

Pros

8:30 - 5 PM timing but only for non-support function Company policy and employee benefits, but after covid many benefits are gone, so average now, nothing extra ordinary. Good company to become a clerk Job security Timely payment of salary

Cons

Canon India, head office in Gurgaon is a 25 yrs old company mainly run by old timers. People who joined at starting 20 yrs back have major control, no space for new ideas, new style of working or being heard by mgt. Only top down culture, you are like a slave and follow orders. No hiring Senior manager and above level, so for those with 15yrs plus experience, no chance for you to come. Canon parent office in Tokyo sends expats at all levels in Canon India and the local staff is busy boot licking them. Earlier CEO was a headmaster, but the new CEO is more open and cool. Not a good company for people who want to grow, just a big name from outside. Typical sarkari culture, full of approval and permission for every small thing, no openess to hear employee. Perfect company to plan retirement. Not for growth. Junior staff is burdned with high work volume which is clerical in nature. Learning and development is nil. No HR initiative Company has no new initiative, no drive for new products, expansion. Salary as per competition is not at par. Not good in gender diversity, has preference for boys, men in key departments. LGBTQ is not a concept even heard of in company, forget hiring. First have gender equality. Senior behave like masters, misbehave with female employee. No consideration for young mothers. No flexibility, its a punishment. Most employees who have worked for long and become clerks, unable to find jobs outside since here there is no employee development. Company prides on long serivce and even give awards, but most employee either clerks or want growth but not getting job elsewhere.

Pros

Stable job, Salary on time, Good benefits

Cons

Disrespectful and ungrateful management who treat their employees like cattle. Random restructuring that waste everyone's efforts to get ahead and keep them in lower positions. Negligeable salary increments (if any) to employees compared to high increments for managers. Employees are evaluated according to their likeability by top management and not their actual performance. Insurance has been downgraded for employees but not management.
