Vacation time because of the two company paid 1-week shutdowns.
Cons
Dead-end job for an "engineer" Very little actual engineering work, lots of time wasted doing trivial maintenance work Very Political Below industry average pay (for the type of candidates they want) It seems that the majority of engineers at CVI are either fresh out of school (don't know any better) or are 50+ and planning to retire there. I can see why someone would choose to retire there. It's pretty easy/mindless work with a strong benefits package for an older person. High stress for pretty much no reason. It all trickles down from the top. The managers have too much pressure on them which forces them to put too much pressure on their team.
