Not a good job out of college

Pros

Low expectations so it's easy to get by Free snacks in the office Haven't blocked Reddit on the work internet

Cons

Not a good job out of college. Mind-numbing work, and that's if you're lucky enough to be on a project at all. The job is nothing at all like they tell you during recruiting. They use college-hires to staff the grunt work for the projects that no one wants to do. Decent if you want a resume builder. Abysmal if you want to be engaged at work.

Thank you for input, we appreciate the feedback. We pride ourselves at CapTech on providing our college hires with an open and flat organization that affords many opportunities to make an early impact both internally and at the client. I’d encourage you to reach out to your coach or our college recruiting lead or anyone in HR so we can address some of the items mentioned in this review.

Pros

Decent work-life balance, but not nearly as nice as they advertise in their recruitment messaging. Solid pay and a positive community. Decent initiatives for further training and professional development

Cons

Roles on projects are driven exclusively by client need, so you may find yourself in a role counter to your career goals, or even what you were originally hired for. You are held financially accountable for your staffing and billable utilization (smaller compensation changes and bonuses for weaker utilization rates), even though you have no direct control over getting yourself staffed, which is frustrating.

You hit the nail on the head with your review’s title! Consulting isn’t for everyone and can sometimes be a difficult career to adjust to. We do our best in staffing our employees on projects that align to their skillsets and allow for growth opportunities. We encourage all of our employees to own their own careers and work with their coach, account manager, and our staffing team to help make their interests and skills known, and to provide the best opportunity for a well matched staffing. - Suzie Turner, Principal
