Pros

There are some very good people who work at CapTech - intelligent, trusted mentors, well meaning. I learned an absolute ton while working there, and I am extremely grateful for some of the stretch roles I was put into. On a whole I had great clients that I genuinely enjoyed working with.

Cons

The leadership at CapTech is inept at best, toxic at worst. Staffing is very short sighted, and they seem to be in a mindset of just throwing bodies at things. Career growth is an absolute mess. Promotion standards are extremely inconsistent, and can depend a lot on who your coach is. Your performance and internal contributions don't matter much if leadership just doesn't like you (for whatever reason). Women, be prepared to be constantly smiling and upbeat. This is the only way the male leadership will find you even minimally worthy. You'll have to work 10x as hard anyway. Please don't bring your authentic self to work, it will hurt you. They love to reward toxicity, as evidenced by someone getting a large promotion while under HR investigation for bullying. HR is generally untrustworthy and will tell lies about employees to leadership.

It is very disheartening to read this review. I agree that we have fabulous people at CapTech, and I also agree that they are genuine, look out for everyone's best interest and are extremely collaborative and willing to share their knowledge. The rest of your comments are surprising. I see you are no longer with CapTech, and I wish I could have had the opportunity to speak with you prior to your departure so I could better understand your experience. As I look at many of our talent management activities (e.g. staffing, promotion, recognition), I am extremely proud of the structures and processes that have been established over the last few years. Our workplace flexibility, while a wonderful employee benefit, has definitely provided our staffing team with additional challenges as they work to best match individuals with our clients' needs. Everyone is encouraged to bring their true self to work, and there are policies in place to support, empower and protect our employees' ability to do just that. I am disappointed to hear that an employee (whether past or present) doesn't feel that way - we continually receive feedback that our leaders are optimistic, genuine, encouraging and go out of their way to find the good/strengths in each of our people. While we wish that you had departed on a different note, we appreciate the time and energy you gave to our clients and our teams. We hope that your new adventure is a better fit. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Thank you for your review and recognizing our fabulous CapTechers! We do spend a lot of time understanding our markets and making sure our compensation is competitive, fair and equitable - with the rich bonus potential, we feel like our total cash compensation program is very strong. I'd be happy to discuss and answer any questions you may have! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
