Pros

- Great culture internally, everyone is super nice, smart and communicative - Good sense of direction by leadership

Cons

- Salary is low for junior level employees - Bonus structure is flawed, where it's dependent only on utilization when that is out of your control much of the time - Not a lot of room for movement at least in junior positions if you want to switch clients (there are many clients with old techstacks and just boring work) - Harder to move up in the company if you want to just put your head down and work, you really have to be willing to contribute internally in a meaningful way if you want a promotion

Thank you for taking a moment to note our culture, our people, and our leadership team. We have incredible people, across all levels, driving efforts at CapTech and positioning us as the best firm to work for and with, in technology consulting. We want our consultants to be excited to get involved with internal efforts and contribute in meaningful ways to what makes this company special. Internal work should be a way to get to know more about the company and your colleagues and complement the work you do for clients. We feel confident everyone can find a way to get involved that feels right to them individually and supports their growth here. Work with your coach to find the right fit for you. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

Lots of different clients and different kinds of projects to work on. For those of you normally working in product or development in some way, there's a lot of opportunity to learn about the business side of consulting and contracts that you wouldn't get in a standard internal role. I learned a ton and am a stronger professional for it. There's also a pretty good structure around skills assessments to help you think through promotions.

Cons

Lots of politics. Although skill assessments are clear, there seems to be a lot of relationship building necessary to get promotions or be considered for opportunities. Not unexpected in the consulting world and totally navigable, but something to be aware of.

Thank you for your review. It’s always wonderful to hear that you’ve developed here at CapTech, and that you are stronger for working here with challenging projects and dedicated colleagues. Learning and development is always a priority and we want to give our consultants the best opportunities to advance. Promotions are based on work product but building relationships with your colleagues is always encouraged and supported. We’re excited to see you grow here with us! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
