Pros

Less travel than traditional consulting firms.

Cons

Employer low balls on salary negations - pays way under national average. They boast less a cutthroat bench policy to counterbalance compensation shortcomings, but that has changed in the past three years with mass layoffs occurring on a consistent basis.

Pros

Best coworkers and teammates; working with everyone here is a great experience.

Cons

Poor communication from leadership. Constant changes to benefits with zero input - first was the bonus program overhaul, and now the PTO change. Both were presented as favorable to employees, but in fact they both substantially reduce benefits.

Thank you for your review, although this was a tough one to read. First, let me recognize your tenure - thank you for your years of service to CapTech. You have definitely seen CapTech through some changes, and I hope you recognize that no change occurs without input and thoughtful deliberation to help us achieve overall goals. Whether it is changes to the bonus program to ensure people are focusing on client service or a PTO change focused on increasing the flexibility of how/when people take off, our leaders and teams are very focused on both CapTech's success as well as our employee experience. Please reach out directly, as I'd love the chance to speak with you further to understand your point of view. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

- Great culture internally, everyone is super nice, smart and communicative - Good sense of direction by leadership

Cons

- Salary is low for junior level employees - Bonus structure is flawed, where it's dependent only on utilization when that is out of your control much of the time - Not a lot of room for movement at least in junior positions if you want to switch clients (there are many clients with old techstacks and just boring work) - Harder to move up in the company if you want to just put your head down and work, you really have to be willing to contribute internally in a meaningful way if you want a promotion

Thank you for taking a moment to note our culture, our people, and our leadership team. We have incredible people, across all levels, driving efforts at CapTech and positioning us as the best firm to work for and with, in technology consulting. We want our consultants to be excited to get involved with internal efforts and contribute in meaningful ways to what makes this company special. Internal work should be a way to get to know more about the company and your colleagues and complement the work you do for clients. We feel confident everyone can find a way to get involved that feels right to them individually and supports their growth here. Work with your coach to find the right fit for you. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
