Pros

This is a great place to start when you’re fresh out of college and know you’ve got no better options. CapTech will pay you greatly for those Virginia Tech and UVA grads who want a first job. Other than that, expect your pay and raises to stagnate if you are a person of color or a woman. The benefits are pretty decent, but not something you couldn’t get at one of their competitors or their clients. There’s fun events that the company sponsors with alcohol and food provided, but be careful of those freshly graduated white males running around with a free and open bar, there have been several incidents of them causing problems at company functions and outside of them.

Cons

To beat a dead horse, this place is a good ole boy’s club. Do not expect to have a real career here based on your results or performance if you are of color or a woman. You are valued far less than the affluent college kids that CapTech rakes in by the truckload. There have been several reported cases of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct based in this 75% white male inhabitied company. HR is a joke and barely does anything to control or curb it. God help you if you’re a woman staff aug’d on a client sight, because you’ll most likely be the only female around for miles with a bunch of males who can, and will, say literally anything to you and get away with it. Don’t expect to find anything here but an easy job and office politics. Someone will likely throw you under the bus before they try to actually confront the problem. The work is mind numbingly all staff augmented and rarely ever anything else. And god forbid you’re on an anchor client, because you will likely be there for a year or so. The best part about all of this is that the rating for this company in Glassdoor is maintained by the marketing team constantly making new accounts and fake reviews. It’s laughable to say the least.
