Work - Life Balance Awful

Pros

Great clients with challenging projects. Employees really care about doing great work and serving the clients. Incredible talent pool. Good onboarding experience at corporate. Decent pay.

Cons

Worked about 55-65 hours a week. Deadlines were insane. Manager was impossibly hands-on, constantly changing and redoing my submitted work, adding to the scope of a project at the last minute before presentations, and often making the outcome confusing for client.

CapTech Response

At CapTech, we take the work-life balance of our consultants seriously. Occasionally, we do need to go above and beyond to meet client needs, but we work hard to respect personal time. We also work hard to ensure that all employees feel respected by their Managers. I’m sorry that your experience didn’t meet your expectations or our high standards. We will continue to strive to ensure all employees have a positive experience and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. -Joanna Bergeron, Chief Talent Officer

Pros

-People here are smart, driven, and great. This includes all levels of Captech from consultant to principal. -Firm genuinely partners with clients to produce great work -Great benefits -Great exposure to leadership. Principals are friendly and approachable -Annual bonus and raise -Lots of social events -Great PTO. Very flexible

Cons

-Can be exposed on certain projects to boring or unchallenging or otherwise non-idea work -If your on a project, it can be difficult to get off -Is experiencing growing pains in non-established markets

Pros

Great work life balance - never stressed or pressured Flexible and generous PTO Lots of fun social evens Made a lot of friends Opportunities for interesting internal work Lots of young people Annual bonus and raise Competitive starting salary out of college

Cons

Project work wasn’t the most exciting Getting on a ‘good project’ is mainly based on timing/luck Many legacy projects with old technologies Felt more like staff augmentation than consulting Compensation is not heavily based on individual performance - it’s more based on overall company performance
