Pros

Great benefits, smart coworkers, good pay

Cons

As the company grows it seems to be leaning towards staff augmentation. They also don't do a great job making sure they are staffing clients with the best fit. They just sort of pull people off the bench.

Pros

Flexible work-life balance and great coworkers make it a fun environment. Interesting projects so far. Self-starters will go far here as there is a lot of emphasis on internal contributions for promotions and your bonus. Pay is good enough, but benefits (such as maternity leave and tuition reimbursement) could be better.

Cons

Upper management is stretched too thin to properly support their teams. Current project has a Director overseeing us while also full-time on another project. Very limited access/availability which can lead to frustration and feeling like there's a lack of support.

As employees, we want you to feel supported and try to provide multiple channels through your Coach, Account Manager, mentor, PA leads and peers. Pros

- Great perks, training funding, flexibility, an encouraging and intellectually curious atmosphere - Great place to build your skills if you are willing to put in the time outside of work - Great networking opportunities, tons of smart people - Coaching culture is constructive and friendly

Cons

- Dull client work. Hired in for one role, ended up in a completely different (and tedious) one - Unspoken pressure to contribute an unreasonable amount of internal work on top of client obligations. The encouragement is good, but there is a fine line between encouraging employees and "guilting" them into more work than is practical - Poor project management, lack of direction - A lot of complaining, talking behind eachothers backs, and unspoken tension at the office. This may be team-specific, but is has made me regularly consider pursuing other opportunities

It’s great to hear that you’ve been able to take advantage of all of our opportunities for individual growth at CapTech both through trainings and networking! Given the nature of consulting, it is hard to ensure that every CapTecher will always be placed on a project that aligns perfectly with their skillsets. We hope that you are able to find ways to grow skills in other areas when you are engaged in client work with a less than ideal alignment to your skillset. We encourage you to seek opportunities to continue to grow your primary skillset and stay engaged through internal contributions or our quarterly innovation challenges! – Suzie Turner, Principal
