We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us, and although some of it is tough to hear, we are always open to feedback. While Staff Aug is a part of consulting projects, we do work to make sure our people spend the bulk of time on valuable client projects that allow them to touch new tech and grow their own skills. If this was not your experience, I’d like to learn more about your project assignments. I’d also welcome the opportunity to understand more about your perspective on promotions and client feedback. We want our strong performers to be rewarded based on the merits of their work and to be able to establish themselves as leaders with a long career at CapTech. Our goal is always to support our people and their growth here. Please feel free to reach out to me directly. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Thank you for your feedback! We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed your onboarding/bootcamp. As you know, we’ve recently expanded our college onboarding process by creating the Discovery Program, a year-long onboarding for our college hires to help prepare this top talent for their first client work. We think it’s incredibly important to closely mentor our new grad hires in their first year with us. Providing a safe space to learn, make mistakes, find solutions, ask questions, and grow those professional soft skills is vital to giving our early talent the best start in consulting. Some of our best consultants started their careers with us and are building success at CapTech! -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

I made some friends. Who actually all agree with my headline.

Cons

CapTech was one of the most toxic work environments I have ever worked in. It was not only a boys club but it is not diverse at all, there is a lot of smoke and mirrors around diversity and inclusion. You are also either in the "IN" club or you're not, and if you're not and you upset someone you can most certainly count on getting a call from HR. HR or henchmen. The HR team is manipulative and works to create a "case" even if there is nothing to create a case around. I had several colleagues get "let go" that started off with an initial conversation from HR like "You aren't online enough", which somehow escalated in the following weeks to being fired with no real proof or justification. Management themselves have their own club, they are unprofessional, and talk about employees, have their favorites, and are not at all up front about it, but instead resort to being "fake nice" and again manipulative. The promotion process has no clarity or real standards, they will not promote you and never give any real feedback or they may promote you if you know the right people. CapTech also encourages their employee's to leave good reviews to try and drown out the truth of the bad reviews. They have gone through great lengths to get rid of or hide bad reviews on this site.

These are very tough words to read; however, if this was your experience at our company, that is even tougher to accept. We never want our culture to feel toxic, in fact we pride ourselves on the exact opposite, but for you to have felt such negativity, we are shocked and would truly welcome the opportunity to understand more about your time at CapTech. Our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council, along with our four Employee Resource Groups (BlackTech, Women@CapTech, PrideTech, and CapTech Asians Keeping Eating) put tremendous thought and care into our diversity roadmap, and we have long been a company where individuals can bring their whole selves to work. Promotions and growth are very much part of an employee’s career ownership alongside CapTech as it fosters learning and development. We want everyone to have a long and rewarding career with us, and we work to make their journey successful. Please feel free to reach out to me directly (kapostolides@captechconsulting.com) so we can talk through your experience together. We welcome all feedback, even the tough words, if it makes us stronger and a better place for our people. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director, HR
