Pros

Out of all the companies I have worked for in my career, CapTech is by far the one with the most talent and strongest leadership. The skills of the consultants I am lucky enough to work with on a daily basis consistently impress me and everyone makes each other better. From leadership down to college hires, everyone respects each other and their ideas. The client work is engaging and challenging. We are solving complex problems for large companies and especially through COVID-19, CapTech has proposed and won some really cutting edge work. Within the Columbus office specifically, it is a rapidly growing office and people at all levels are given big responsibilities and growth opportunities. It is clear that these are opportunities and responsibilities that I would not have been entrusted with at other firms.

Cons

As with any consulting work, the clients can be challenging. Initially, I was on a project at a tough client and I was considering leaving CapTech because of it. I had an honest conversation with leadership (up to the CEO level), and a change was made for the betterment of the consultants.

Thank you for your review and your years with CapTech. I’m pleased to hear that CapTech’s talent and leadership stands out as some of the most talented you have had the opportunity to work with. Your feedback indicates that the efforts in place to support our consultants, both personally and professionally here at CapTech, reinforce the value we see in our people. Thank you, again, for your contributions! - Katy Apostolides, HR Director

Pros

Exposure to a lot of tech since you are a consultant. Tons of smart people. Great office. Work from home.

Cons

Not enough training when entering a project. Doing great with clients doesnt mean a promotion. 50hr is norm if you want to get promoted

Thank you for sharing your feedback and highlighting areas of strength for CapTech as well as addressing areas where we can improve. You, our consultants, are our priority. The CapTech Core Competencies were created and put in place to act as a roadmap for our consultants. Whether you are staffed to a new project or are seeking to take the next step in your career, these core competencies were established to equip consultants with resources, guidance, and support. We are working to improve the awareness and education of this process and would welcome further ideas from you! Please reach out to me directly at kapostolides@captechconsulting.com. Pros

-I have met and worked with some of the smartest and loveliest people I have ever known. -Pre-covid, the pantry was stocked with lots of yummy treats. -They have a ping pong table.

Cons

I will always appreciate CapTech for the growth opportunities I was afforded and the deep friendships I made. The culture here has sharply declined in the past few years. Originally, their passion for their clients and employees was evident. Now, it is only about increasing profit immediately and ignoring future implications. - You aren’t allowed to use the ping-pong table. :-) - You will be rewarded for who you know, what you drink, and how well you practice sycophancy. Skill, servant leadership, client delivery and teamwork do not matter. Those that contribute the most are looked over. This is NOT the place to go if you are a developer, engineer, architect, technical analyst. - The project you are placed on has nothing to do with your skillset, and it is almost impossible to move. - The Tyson’s office setup: It is cute at first glance, or if you are stopping by. But it is impossible to take business calls or think over the cacophony amplified by an open floor space with no sound dampening. There are not enough offices to take calls. I’ve had to take calls in the junk closet. - Executives are very gossipy, including HR. - The promotion process refresh has been “in progress” for a few years. But let’s be honest, there isn’t an actual process and there wont ever be because they would have to be held accountable to it.

Thank you for your review and your contributions to CapTech. Our people represent our core values, and we are glad to hear that the individuals you worked with stand out as some of the most talented and enjoyable people you have had the opportunity to work with. We are sorry to hear the frustrations you experienced and the shift in culture you felt during your time with CapTech. Our culture is the foundation for which CapTech was built on, therefore we regularly seek feedback from our consultants on areas where we can improve. While your feedback is shared as an earlier consultant with CapTech, please know that the concerns you address around office accommodations, leadership and the promotion process are areas of which we are actively working to improve. We are listening to our consultants and incorporating their feedback and suggestions as we plan for 2021. Additionally, if there is anything further you would like to discuss or address from your time at CapTech, I am here to listen. Please feel free to contact me directly at kapostolides@captechconsulting.com. - Katy Apostolides, HR Director
