Thank you for your review and continued contributions to CapTech. I am glad that you've had a chance to learn and grow, surrounded by our great CapTechers. I would encourage you to join some of our Growth Connect, PA meetings and upcoming company meeting to understand our overall Growth Goals. While we do support our clients with their needs, which can feel reactive at times, we also partner with them on their most strategic initiatives - I encourage you to speak with your coach or PA lead to better understand how we partner with our amazing clients. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

There are some younger developers here who are nice people and one or two managers who are a decent people.

Cons

To summarize, this is a staffing company that is pretending to be something more. They bought in the hype and are now pretending they are doing these amazing AI things, while entire time I was there I was basically just working on the project that seems to be some pilot project for the client, which they don't even care about all that much. During hiring process, I have been told that I am being hired for senior position and that they have many clients which will allow me to decide where I want to work. Once I was hired, they simply tried to place me at any client just so they can start charging the client for my hours and not once have they asked me if I want to work for that client or gave me a choice on work location or the client. Once I got to the position, it quickly turned into the most junior position I have had in 15 years and not much later micro management of my time started. It was complete opposite of everything I have been told during hiring process. The culture here seems to push younger underpaid developers towards getting more work for the company. They constantly tell you to put on company shirt, even encourage you to go and try to steal contract from another company that does business with the client. I have witnessed presentations by younger developers where they describe this exact process. Keep in mind none of this is your job as a developer, but this is what they often talk about during company meetings, us going to get more work for CapTech. Beside micro management and zero choice in work, they show no respect towards your choices related to work environment. Our client actually did not want us onsite and most of our developers including me wanted to work remotely. However, they kept pushing us to work onsite and had mandatory number of days as a way of us to promote the company further to the client. This was despite the fact that client employees we engage with are not even on that site, it was simply designed to get developers to become salesmen and try to get some other contract from the client. Eventually client told us not to come onsite anymore. When I told them I am leaving, they ended up not giving me my last check and somehow calculated that my sign on bonus and my last check are about even so they owe me nothing on that last paycheck. All other comments are true regarding good old boys culture and company promoting people who put on this fake personality and just tell them what they want to hear. Do yourself a favor and avoid this toxic place.

I am sorry CapTech was not a good match for you. We are committed to providing a realistic representation of a CapTech career in our recruiting process, and we appreciate your feedback. We have amazing people at all levels, and I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to get to know them better and learn from them. I've always loved how much people at all levels are welcoming, enthusiastic and intellectually curious - especially when we get the chance to collaborate together. While remote work can be an amazing perk here and there, we work to have in-person collaboration with our clients and people as much as possible. While you are no longer with CapTech, if there are any outstanding items that you would like to discuss - please reach out. kapostolides@captechconsulting.com -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Pros

CapTech boasts a roster of intelligent and talented employees who contribute to a vibrant company culture. The company offers attractive benefits that enhance the overall working experience. Additionally, CapTech provides competitive compensation, ensuring that its employees are fairly rewarded for their contributions.

Cons

CapTech's business development pipeline lacks robustness and strategic direction. The company appears to be losing sight of its vision for future growth. Moreover, consultants are being tasked with learning a technology when it's in demand, only to switch to another shortly afterward. This approach seems to lack coherence and foresight, potentially hindering the company's long-term success.
